Euan Ferrier – Committee Member

Hello, My name is Euan (Ferdo48)

I have been drawing since I was a young child on and off and always had an interest in art of any form. My interest to put more time into art was sparked again on the streets of Rosarito in Mexico back in 2006 when I first saw a live street artist producing amazing spray paint art right there on the pavement.

My involvement in the SOCA started a lot of years ago not as committee member but as a volunteer to set up the exhibition and turning up to the AGM. Eventually I joined the committee and enjoy being part of the behind the scenes work.

I don’t really have a specific art style as such just do what feels right at the time. Work with most things eg Spray paint, acrylics, markers, glass etching, woodwork, metal work and recently moved into the digital art realm which has endless possibilities.

If I’ve learned one thing over the years its not to compare yourself to other artists. Its all about growing as an artist and enjoying the process. (easier said than done I know)

Thanks for reading and hope to see your art displayed in one of our exhibitions in the future.
